Stating that TRNC delegation is the first delegation they hosted after he took the office as the Minister of National Education, Minister Tekin noted that he was very happy to host the delegation.

 

Expressing that, as the Ministry of National Education, they want to realize the concept of "One Nation- Two States" of Türkiye and TRNC, not only in words, but in substance, Tekin stated that they attach great importance to inter-governmental relations. Stressing that he believes very much that maintaining the quality of being a nation is highly significant, Minister Tekin said that their duty is to maintain the character of a nation. Tekin underlined that they are ready to do whatever they have to do in this regard.

 

Pointing out that there are previous and ongoing studies between the two countries, Minister Tekin noted that they are open to cooperate with the TRNC on every issue.

 

Conveying his best wishes to Minister Tekin for his Ministerial duty, The Minister of National Education of the TRNC Nazım Çavuşoğlu reminded that the beautiful and productive cooperation between the two countries continues for years.

 

Stating that the unity between two countries has always been very strong in terms of raising the level of education in the TRNC by updating the information and carrying it to the future with the sacrifice of the nation and the devotion of the staff, Minister Çavuşoğlu said that in this sense, as in the past, they have served the President with the understanding of 'One Nation- Two States'. Çavuşoğlu thanked the ministers and all bureaucrats.

 

Stating that there are many ongoing projects between Türkiye and the TRNC, Çavuşoğlu noted that they will continue to work to further strengthen the cooperation on education between two countries.

 

Strengthening the ongoing cooperation on education between Türkiye and the TRNC, new areas of cooperation were discussed in the meeting that were held between delegations.

 

Deputy Ministers Celile Eren Ökten and Nazif Yılmaz, President of the Board of Education Cihad Demirli, Director General of EU and Foreign Relations Tuba Korkmaz, Director General of Higher and Foreign Education Fethi Fahri Kaya, Ambassador of TRNC to Ankara İsmet Korukoğlu, Undersecretary of National Education Aykut Şirket and other respective officials were attended the meeting.
