MINISTER TEKİN MEETS WITH TEACHERS AT RAMI LIBRARY IN İSTANBUL

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin met with teachers at the program held in İstanbul as part of "Teachers' Room Meetings". 

Noting that they met with teachers at every opportunity during their provincial visits, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin expressed that they also tried to solve the problems of the field by listening to the teachers, who are the essential element of education, at the Teachers' Room Meetings held regularly every month.
 
Emphasizing that they have implemented many new practices in line with the demands as a result of the consultations they held with the teachers, Minister Tekin reminded that school administrators were previously able to change places as teachers in inter-provincial appointments. Minister Tekin announced that from now on, they will be given the opportunity to become school administrators in the provinces they go, if they wish. 
 
Stating that they tried to restructure some of the projects they implemented during his Undersecretary in order to better serve in accordance with their purpose, Minister Tekin said that they made legislative changes in various areas since the moment they took Ministerial office.
 
Addressing the issue of updating the curriculum in response to a question, Minister Tekin said that the rapid developments in scientific and technological fields in the world and in Türkiye, created a need for an update on the curriculum in order to raise individuals with the basic knowledge, skills and values required by the age.
 
Noting that studies on the curriculum are continuing by relevant units such as the Directorate General of Basic Education, the Directorate General of Secondary Education, the Directorate General of Vocational and Technical Education, and the Directorate General of Religious Education, Minister Tekin informed teachers that they will share the works with the public when they are completed.
 
Speaking to the teachers attending the meeting one by one and listened to their opinions, suggestions and expectations in the field of education, Minister Tekin stated that they will continue to support teachers by using all their means.
 
Noting that these meetings are an indicator of the value given to teachers, the teachers expressed their gratitude to Minister Tekin for giving them the opportunity to convey the problems they encountered in the field directly to the Minister.
