The Ministry of National Education announced the application conditions, application themes and important dates for teachers' contributions before the "Education on the 100th Anniversary of the Republic through the Eyes of Teachers" Symposium, where Minister Yusuf Tekin will participate and the dynamics of an education system based on national and social values will be discussed by taking into account the universal values and standards.

 

The strengths and opportunities of education will be discussed in the symposium, where the current status and the future of education will be discussed in the light of teachers' ideas. The symposium will provide important opportunities to better understand the difficulties experienced in education, the role of teachers in the education process as well as their experiences and expectations for the future.

 

Evaluations will be obtained about the current status of the education system and possible future changes which will also contribute to taking steps for improvements in education.

 

Among the guests will be Institutions working at Türkiye and abroad, relevant units of the Ministry of National Education, academicians and teachers will attend the symposium held in Ankara. Teachers working in Türkiye and abroad under the Ministry of National Education and teachers working in schools affiliated to the Turkish Maarif Foundation will be able to apply to make a presentation at the symposium. Each teacher will be able to apply for only one paper with a single or multiple authors.

 

Applications will be evaluated by experts according to the determined scientific criteria. Teachers who are in the summary evaluation committee will not be able to apply to make a presentation as it is not ethically deemed appropriate.

 

For symposium "Teaching and Professional Development'', "Cultural Heritage and Values Education in Education'', "Education and Training Process'', "The Effect of Technological Developments on Education'', "Inclusion and Guidance in Education'', "Turkish Schools Abroad and International Schools" and "The Role and Participation of Stakeholders in Education" were determined as themes to be applied. Applications will be made via the symposium's website, yuzuncuyildaegitim.meb.gov.tr, as of October 9, 2023. The system will automatically close after the application deadline, October 20, 2023.

 

The papers of whose applications are accepted will be presented by teachers at the symposium in simultaneous sessions consisting of a 15-minute oral presentation and a 5-minute question and answer session. The accepted papers will be requested as full text consisting of 1000 words to be submitted by December 3, 2023. Announcements will be shared later on the website of the symposium. Teachers who will make presentations at the symposium will be given a presentation certificate.

 

The papers presented at the end of the symposium will be collected into a book. The presentations will be professionally recorded and will be available on the relevant online platforms of the Ministry of National Education.
